Furigana AI Privacy Policy

Sho Fujimoto (hereinafter referred to as "Developer") respects the privacy of users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") of Furigana AI (hereinafter referred to as "the App") and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle Users' personal information in the App.

Article 4 (Use of Generative AI)

The App uses Google Gemini to provide OCR functionality and furigana generation features.

1. Information Processed: Images captured or selected by Users, chat query contents
2. Data Storage: No user information is stored on our servers
3. Third-Party Provision: Image and text data are sent to Google's servers for AI processing but are not stored on the Developer's servers

Article 5 (Third-Party Services and Information Collection Modules)

The App uses the following third-party services:

1. Google Gemini API: For OCR functionality and furigana generation
2. Google AdMob: For advertising delivery (may collect advertising identifiers)
3. Apple/Google Analytics: For analyzing App usage

These services collect and use information according to their own privacy policies.

Article 6 (Provision of Privacy Information to Third Parties)

The Developer will not provide privacy information to third parties without User consent, except in the following cases:

1. When required by law
2. When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of individuals
3. When necessary to cooperate with national or local government agencies or their delegates in carrying out duties prescribed by law

Article 7 (Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use)

Article 8 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If a User's personal information held by the Developer is incorrect, the User may request correction or deletion of the personal information through procedures determined by the Developer.

Article 9 (Opt-Out Rights)

Users can disable data collection and ad personalization from the App's settings screen.

Article 10 (Data Retention Policy)

The App does not store Users' image or text data on servers. All processing is temporary and data is immediately deleted after processing is complete.

Article 11 (Children's Privacy)

The App does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If children under 13 use the App, parental consent and supervision are required.

Article 12 (Security Management)

The Developer will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of privacy information and for other security management of privacy information.

Article 13 (Changes to Privacy Policy)

The content of this policy may be changed without notice to Users. The revised Privacy Policy shall take effect when posted within the App or on the Developer's website.

Article 14 (Governing Law)

The interpretation and application of this Policy shall be governed by Japanese law.

Article 15 (Consent)

By using the App, Users are deemed to have consented to this Privacy Policy.
