Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how I, Sho Fujimoto ("Developer"), collect, use, and disclose information in connection with the AI Bookmark app ("App"). The App provides webpage summarization and bookmark management.
Key points
- The App does not require user registration and the Developer does not access or store users' personal payment information.
- AI is used only to generate summaries of webpages. Summarization input (page text and metadata) may be processed by an external AI provider.
- There are no in‑app purchases; premium access is provided via a subscription purchased through the App Store / Google Play. The monthly price in Japan is JPY 300; other countries' prices are determined by the stores.
- The free tier limits the number of saved bookmarks; the premium subscription removes that limit.
- Subscription management uses RevenueCat. Auto‑renewal, cancellation, and refund handling follow the App Store / Google Play policies.
- Summaries are generated using Google Gemini.
- Information we may handle
- Bookmark data: title, URL, AI-generated summary, category, saved timestamp (used to provide search, organization, and optional backup/sync features).
- Non-identifying device and usage data: device model, OS version, usage logs, crash/error logs (used for analytics and improving the App).
- Subscription status: used to enable premium features. Purchases are processed by the App Store / Google Play; payment processing and receipts are handled by those stores.
- Advertising identifiers such as IDFA and AAID.
If you voluntarily provide personal information (for example via a support request), it will be used only for the stated purpose and handled appropriately.
- AI usage
The App uses Google Gemini to generate summaries. Text and metadata needed for summarization may be transmitted to Gemini. Please review Google Cloud / Gemini policies for details on how they handle data.
- Subscriptions and billing
Premium subscriptions are billed via the App Store / Google Play. Subscription management is handled with RevenueCat. To cancel auto‑renewal, request refunds, or manage billing, follow the procedures and policies of the store where you purchased the subscription.
- Third‑party services
The App uses third‑party services in a limited way. Examples:
- RevenueCat (subscription management): https://www.revenuecat.com/
- Google Gemini (AI provider): https://cloud.google.com/gemini
Other analytics or crash reporting services (e.g., Google Analytics, Sentry) may be used; review each provider's privacy policy for details.
Advertising Partners and Users in the EEA / UK / Switzerland
This app serves ads via Google AdMob with the "automatically add ad partners" setting enabled. As a result, advertising identifiers, IP address, and device information may be shared with third parties registered in the IAB TCF v2.2 vendor list (approximately 200 ad networks, ad-tech vendors, and data brokers) for ad delivery and measurement. The current list of partners is available inside the consent dialog (Google UMP consent form) shown on first launch and re-openable from the app, and at:
- AdMob ad technology providers: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903
- IAB TCF vendor list: https://iabeurope.eu/vendor-list-tcf/
If you live in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the GDPR / UK GDPR grant you the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the inquiry desk at the end of this policy. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by re-opening the consent dialog shown on first launch.
On iOS, App Tracking Transparency (ATT) requires your permission before this app can use your IDFA to track you across apps and websites. You can use the app without granting permission, though ads may be less relevant.
- Data storage and deletion
Bookmarks and summaries are stored on the user's device or in developer‑provided storage if backup/sync is enabled. You can remove saved bookmarks from within the App; uninstalling the App removes local data. If cloud backup is used, follow the App's deletion options to remove data from cloud storage.
- Children's privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- Disclosure to third parties
Except as required by law, the Developer will not disclose personally identifying information to third parties without consent, except where necessary to provide the service (e.g., external AI providers, subscription services).
- Security
The Developer takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated; material changes will be announced in the App or on the website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
