Widget Memo Privacy Policy

Widget Memo (the "App") is an app provided by Sho Fujimoto (the "Developer") that shows a memo as a sticky note on your Home Screen widget and Lock Screen.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App.

This Privacy Policy applies to the following app:

• Bundle ID (iOS) / Package name (Android): com.fjsh.widgetmemo
• Developer (individual): Sho Fujimoto

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information stored on your device

• The text of your memo
• Sticky note settings (color, type, and font)
• Voice input drafts and voice input settings
• Recordings (only if you turn on "Keep recordings")

This information is stored only on your device and is not sent to the Developer's server (except for "Tidy up with AI," described in Section 4). The memo is passed to the widget and Lock Screen on your device as well. It may be lost if you delete the App, reset your device, or switch to a new device.

1.2 Information the Developer does not collect

• The App has no account registration or sign-in, and does not collect your name, email address, or similar information.
• The App has no cloud sync or backup feature.
• The App does not include any advertising, analytics, or crash reporting SDKs.
• The App does not track you across apps or websites.
• The App has no in-app purchases.

2. How We Use Information

• To show your memo in the App, on widgets, and on the Lock Screen
• To turn your speech into text in a memo draft with voice input
• To tidy up a draft into readable text or TODO items with "Tidy up with AI"

3. Voice Input

To turn the words you speak after tapping the mic into text, the App uses Apple's speech recognition (the Speech framework).

• For languages that can be recognized on the device, recognition happens entirely on the device.
• For languages that cannot be recognized on the device, audio is sent to Apple's speech recognition servers. In that case, Apple's privacy policy applies.
• Audio is never sent to the Developer's server.

If you turn on "Keep recordings" in Settings (off by default), the App saves the audio it heard as recording files on your device. Recordings are not sent to any server. You can play, share (via the system share sheet), and delete them from the list in Settings. If you share a recording, the app or service you share it with handles it under its own terms.

4. AI Feature ("Tidy up with AI")

"Tidy up with AI" is a button in the voice input draft dialog. Only when you tap this button, the App sends the current draft text over HTTPS to the Developer's server (Cloudflare Workers). The server forwards it to the DeepSeek API, and the result tidied up by DeepSeek is returned to the App.

• Only the draft text is sent (up to 2,000 characters). The text of your saved memo is not sent.
• The Developer's server does not store the draft text and does not write it to logs. The only thing logged is the number of tokens the AI used.
• DeepSeek is provided by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd. Drafts sent to DeepSeek are processed under DeepSeek's terms of use and privacy policy. DeepSeek's servers may be located outside Japan, including in the People's Republic of China.
• When communicating, technical information such as your IP address is processed by the server infrastructure (Cloudflare).

If you don't use "Tidy up with AI," neither your drafts nor your memo leave your device. Please do not include sensitive personal information in drafts, such as your real name, address, phone number, passwords, payment details, or health information.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Each service handles information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

The App may ask for a store review using the operating system's built-in mechanism (StoreKit on iOS, In-App Review on Android). The operating system decides whether to show the prompt, and your rating or review is not sent to the Developer.

6. International Transfers

If you use "Tidy up with AI," the draft text is sent to providers outside Japan and may be processed in those countries (Cloudflare mainly in the United States; DeepSeek in countries including the People's Republic of China). If you use voice input in a language that cannot be recognized on the device, audio is sent to Apple's servers (United States).

Data protection laws in these countries may differ from those where you live. Information on each country's system is available on the website of Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission (https://www.ppc.go.jp/personalinfo/legal/kaiseihogohou/#gaikoku ). China has a personal information protection law, but its legal system differs from Japan's, including in the circumstances under which government authorities may access information.

7. Sharing with Third Parties

The Developer does not sell your information. The Developer does not share it with third parties except:

• With your consent
• When entrusting processing to the service providers in Section 5 to the extent necessary to provide the App
• When required by law
• When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property

8. Retention

Information stored on your device remains until you delete it or delete the App. Recordings are not deleted when you delete a memo or turn off "Keep recordings." To delete them, remove them from the recordings list.

The Developer's server does not store drafts received through "Tidy up with AI" after returning the result.

9. Use by Minors

The App is designed so that the Developer does not collect personal information. If you are a minor, please talk with a parent or guardian before using "Tidy up with AI."

10. Your Choices and Rights

• Microphone and speech recognition: The App asks for permission when you use voice input. You can still use the App by typing if you don't allow it. You can change this at any time in your device settings.
• Notifications and Live Activities: You can turn showing your memo on the Lock Screen (Live Activities on iOS, a persistent notification on Android) on or off in the App's settings and your device settings.
• "Tidy up with AI": Drafts are not sent unless you tap the button.
• Recordings: "Keep recordings" is off by default. You can delete saved recordings from the list.
• Data on your device: Deleted when you delete the App.
• Requests for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, etc.: Contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

11. Security and Changes to This Policy

The Developer takes reasonable security measures to prevent leakage, loss, and unauthorized access to information. Communication for "Tidy up with AI" is encrypted with HTTPS.

This Policy may be revised in response to changes in law, the App's features, or third-party services. Material changes will be announced in the App or on the website.
