Voice Chat Privacy Policy

Sho Fujimoto (hereinafter referred to as "Developer") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in Voice Chat (hereinafter referred to as "App").

Article 1 (Definition of Privacy Information)

"Personal information" in privacy information refers to "personal information" as defined by the Personal Information Protection Act, which means information about living individuals that can identify specific individuals by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained in such information, and information that can identify individuals such as appearance, voice, and movements.

"History information and characteristic information" in privacy information refers to information other than "personal information" defined above, including services used, search keywords searched, usage date and time, usage method, usage environment, gender, age, IP address, cookie information, location information, and individual identification information of devices.

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Privacy Information)

1. The Developer may acquire the following information when users use the App:

   • Voice input data (used only for speech recognition processing and not stored)
   • Usage statistics (for app improvement purposes)
   • Device information (device type, OS version, etc.)
   • Advertising identifiers (IDFA, etc.)

2. The Developer may automatically acquire the following information when users use the App:

   • App usage status
   • Error information
   • Language settings
   • Time zone

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Privacy Information)

The purposes for which the Developer collects and uses privacy information are as follows:

1. To provide and operate the App
2. To respond to inquiries from users
3. To provide information about new features and updates of services being used by users
4. To identify users who violate the terms of use or attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes and refuse their use
5. To allow users to view, change, delete their own registration information and view their usage status
6. For advertising delivery and effectiveness measurement
7. For purposes incidental to the above purposes

Article 4 (Regarding Use of Generative AI)

1. The App uses generative AI for speech recognition and dialogue generation.
2. Voice input by users is temporarily processed for speech recognition, but is not stored as recorded data.
3. AI dialogue content may be analyzed in anonymized form for service quality improvement.
4. Due to its nature, generative AI may produce inaccurate or inappropriate responses. We do not guarantee the accuracy of generated content.

Article 5 (Use of Third-Party Services and Information Collection Modules)

This Application may use services and information collection modules provided by the following third parties for service provision, usage analysis, advertisement delivery, etc. Regarding the information acquired by these third parties, their purposes of use, privacy policies, opt-out methods, etc., please check the websites of each company.

The Developer may periodically transmit only aggregated and anonymized data, which does not identify individuals, to external services for the purpose of improving this Application and its services.

Article 6 (Provision of Privacy Information to Third Parties)

1. The Developer will not provide privacy information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from users, except in the following cases:

   • When based on laws and regulations
   • When necessary for the protection of life, body, or property of individuals and it is difficult to obtain consent from the person
   • When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain consent from the person
   • When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or a person entrusted by them in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining consent from the person may impede the execution of such affairs

2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the recipient of information shall not be considered a third party in the following cases:

   • When the Developer outsources all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
   • When personal information is provided due to business succession due to merger or other reasons

Article 7 (Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use of Privacy Information)

1. When the Developer is requested by the person to disclose personal information, the Developer shall disclose it to the person without delay. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following, all or part of it may not be disclosed, and if a decision is made not to disclose, the Developer shall notify the person without delay:

   • When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the person or a third party
   • When there is a risk of significantly hindering the proper implementation of the Developer's business
   • When it would otherwise violate laws and regulations

2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as history information and characteristic information, will not be disclosed in principle.

Article 8 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

1. Users may request the Developer to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "Correction, etc.") personal information if the user's personal information held by the Developer is incorrect information, according to the procedures established by the Developer.
2. If the Developer receives a request from a user under the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Developer shall correct the personal information without delay.
3. When the Developer makes corrections based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph or decides not to make corrections, the Developer shall notify the user without delay.

Article 9 (Opt-Out Rights)

Users can opt out of some information collection by:

• Limiting ad tracking from device settings
• Disabling analytics data collection from app settings

Article 10 (Data Retention Policy)

1. Voice data: Deleted immediately after speech recognition processing
2. Dialogue history: Not retained. Only messages reported as inappropriate are saved for review purposes
3. Analytics data: Not retained for long-term storage
4. Advertising data: Collected and processed by AdMob according to their data retention policies

Article 11 (Children's Privacy)

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

Article 12 (Security Management of Privacy Information)

The Developer shall take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of collected information and for other security management of collected information.

Article 13 (Changes to Privacy Policy)

1. The content of this Policy may be changed without notice to users, except for matters otherwise provided by law or in this Policy.
2. Unless otherwise specified by the Developer, the changed Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on the App.

Article 14 (Governing Law)

The interpretation of this Policy shall be governed by Japanese law.

Article 15 (Consent)

By using the App, users are deemed to have consented to this Privacy Policy.
