Terms of Service

  • Version 1.1.0
  • Effective 2026-10-27
  • Updated 2026-10-28

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the smartphone app "Reboot" (the "App"). The App is provided by Sho Fujimoto (the "Developer"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. About the App

The App records how many days in a row you have kept away from things you want to quit, such as masturbation, porn, alcohol, or smoking. The days you keep going pile up as GitHub-style "grass," and a koi grows into a dragon as your total days increase. Recording a "Reset" never reduces your total days.

The App also includes "power," a number calculated from your streak days, home screen widgets on iOS, milestone notifications, sharing images of your grass, and a ranking where you can compare power with other participants (joining is optional).

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for people aged 18 and over. People under 18 may not use the App.

3. Health Notice

The App is a tool to help you track habits. It does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or counseling. If you are struggling with addiction, physical or mental health, or problems with drinking, smoking, gambling, or similar, please consult a doctor or a professional support service.

4. What You Can Use for Free

The App is free to use. Free use has the following limits:

  • You can currently track up to 2 habits.
  • The medium widget (iOS) and the monthly summary are not available.
  • In the ranking, the habit types that other participants have shown are not displayed.

These limits may change as we improve the App.

5. Subscription

  1. The App offers weekly, monthly, and annual auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time purchase (paid once) through the App Store and Google Play. Subscriptions and the one-time purchase are together called "paid plans." The auto-renewal and cancellation terms in this section apply to auto-renewing subscriptions.
  2. Paid plans currently include:
    • Tracking 3 or more habits
    • The medium widget (iOS)
    • The monthly summary
    • Seeing the habit types that other participants have shown in the ranking
  3. Prices and periods vary by country or region and are shown on the purchase screen. After milestones (3 and 30 days in a row), the purchase screen may show an annual plan at a discounted price. The discounted annual plan also renews automatically at the discounted price.
  4. Annual plans may include a free trial at the start. The trial length is shown on the purchase screen: 7 days for the regular annual plan and 3 days for the discounted annual plan. Under each app store's rules, each user can use a free trial only once. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts to a paid subscription and you are charged when it ends. If you are in a free trial and have allowed notifications, the App shows a reminder before the trial ends.
  5. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal fee is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
  6. To cancel on iOS, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play Store and go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. After you cancel, you can keep using the benefits until the end of the current period.
  7. When you change devices or reinstall, you can restore a subscription or one-time purchase made with the same Apple ID or Google account from "Restore purchases" in the App.
  8. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds follow the terms and procedures of each app store. The Developer cannot directly refund payments made through a store. For refunds, please contact Apple or Google.
  9. If we change the price, we will notify you in advance through each app store's procedures. Subscription benefits may change as we improve the App. If we significantly reduce them, we will notify you in advance in the App or elsewhere.
  10. If your subscription ends, habits beyond the free limit are not deleted and you can keep recording them. You cannot add new ones.

If you purchase through the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ ) also applies. If it conflicts with these Terms, Apple's Standard EULA takes precedence in your relationship with Apple.

6. Ranking

  1. Joining the ranking is optional. When you join, your name, koi and dragon stage, power, and weekly gain are shown to other participants. If you choose "Join and show habits," your habit types are shown to other participants who have a subscription. The information sent is described in the Privacy Policy.
  2. No account is created when you join. If you delete the App, you cannot continue as the same participant.
  3. To prevent cheating, ranking values have upper limits. Records from before you joined count for up to 90 days.
  4. You can leave at any time with "Leave the ranking" in the ranking settings. Leaving deletes your ranking record and name, and this cannot be undone. Your records and grass on your device are not deleted.
  5. If another participant's name is inappropriate, you can report it with "Report name" on the participant's details. "Hide this person" stops showing that participant in the ranking on your device.
  6. The Developer does not guarantee the ranks, display, or notification content of the ranking.

7. Names You Must Not Use

You must not use any of the following as a name you set in the ranking:

  • Expressions that defame, threaten, harass, or discriminate against others
  • Sexual, obscene, or violent expressions
  • Expressions that impersonate a real person, organization, other participant, or the Developer
  • Personal information or contact details, such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or social media accounts
  • Advertising, solicitation, or directing people to outside services
  • Expressions that violate laws or public order and morals, or infringe the rights of third parties

The App does not save names that contain banned words. A name reported by 3 different people changes back to the automatic name. The Developer may change a name that violates this section, or that we reasonably judge to be inappropriate, back to the automatic name without notice. We may also remove that participant from the ranking.

8. Prohibited Conduct

  • Violating laws, these Terms, or platform terms
  • Placing an excessive load on the App, servers, or third-party services
  • Unauthorized access, reverse engineering, modification, or using bots
  • Tampering with communication to the App or servers to manipulate ranking values
  • Reports made to harass others, or false reports
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities in the App
  • Interfering with the operation of the App, the ranking, or in-app purchases
  • Copying, republishing, selling, distributing, or modifying App content without permission
  • Any other conduct the Developer reasonably judges to be inappropriate

9. Data Storage

Your habits, records, grass, reasons for quitting, goals, and other data are stored on your device. They may be lost if you delete the App, your device breaks, you change devices, or because of OS behavior, and the Developer cannot restore them. If you restore your device from an OS backup, you may be able to keep the records included in the backup. Your paid plan status can be restored as described in Section 5, item 7.

10. Intellectual Property

Intellectual property rights in the App, its characters (the koi and dragon), images, text, programs, and other content belong to the Developer or the rightful owners. You may use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share the grass images you create in the App on social media and elsewhere for personal use.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services for server infrastructure, the app platform, delivering updates and push notifications, managing in-app purchases (RevenueCat), and usage analytics and crash reporting (Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics). Their terms and privacy policies may apply to that use.

12. Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Service

The Developer may change the App's content, features (including the ranking), or how it is provided, or suspend or end the App. If we end the App, we will announce it in the App or elsewhere with reasonable notice.

13. Disclaimer

  1. The Developer does not guarantee that the App is accurate, complete, useful, continuously available, or free of bugs, or that you will get the results you expect (including quitting a habit).
  2. The Developer is not liable for damages you suffer in connection with the App, except where caused by the Developer's intent or gross negligence. Even where the Developer is liable, liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages you actually suffered.
  3. The preceding item does not apply to the extent that the Consumer Contract Act of Japan or other laws do not allow the Developer's liability to be excluded or limited.

14. Changes to These Terms

The Developer may change these Terms when necessary. If we do, we will announce the changed content and its effective date in advance in the App or on our website. If you use the App on or after the effective date, you are deemed to have agreed to the changed Terms.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Japanese court with jurisdiction over the Developer's location as the court of first instance. However, disputes with users who are consumers follow the jurisdiction set by law.
