Privacy Policy
Sho Fujimoto (the "Developer") provides this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") to explain how user information is handled in the mobile application "Korean Boyfriend Audition" (the "App"). The App is an entertainment service that includes generative AI, public user posts, rankings, reporting and blocking, moderation, and possible future advertising.
1. Scope
- This Policy applies to the App, related servers, related webpages, inquiry handling, report handling, moderation, advertising, analytics, and other processing of user information related to the App.
- The App may include third-party services for generative AI, advertising, cloud hosting, app stores, analytics, image delivery, and other functions. Processing by third-party services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
2. Information Collected or Processed
The Developer may collect or process the following information to provide the App.
- Information entered or configured by users
- Nickname
- Avatar settings, avatar color, and profile image
- Favorite character, ranking, support actions, ratings, and stage participation information
- Chats, fan letters, stage live messages, ratings for evaluations, reports, and inquiries
- Information that may be public
- Public fan letters and stage live messages
- Nicknames, avatars, and support status shown in public rankings
- AI replies generated for public posts
- Device and usage environment information
- Device type, OS, app version, language settings, time zone, network status, IP address, request time, error information, and log information
- User identifiers generated in the App and identifiers associated with an app installation or device
- Generative AI information
- Text entered by users
- Conversation context, profile context, character settings, and selected language
- AI responses, public replies, and stage evaluation text
- Moderation and safety information
- Reporter user identifier
- Reported user identifier, content ID, content snapshot, report reason, report time, screen information, and investigation or action history
- Identifiers of users who block or are blocked
- Information needed to detect abuse, spam, harassment, and violations
- Advertising information
- The App may not currently display ads. If Google AdMob or similar services are introduced in the future, advertising identifiers (such as IDFA or AAID), device information, IP address, ad impressions, clicks, and consent status may be processed.
3. Collection Methods
- The Developer collects information when users enter, post, upload, configure, report, or inquire through the App.
- Information may be automatically collected or processed by servers, cloud services, generative AI providers, advertising providers, app stores, analytics, and logging systems when users use the App.
- If a user sets a profile image, only the image selected by the user is uploaded. The Developer does not collect the user's full photo library.
4. Purposes of Use
The Developer uses user information for the following purposes.
- To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the App
- To generate AI conversations, replies, evaluations, translations, and other responses
- To provide public fan letters, stage live messages, rankings, profiles, avatars, and other public features
- To manage favorite characters, support status, rankings, stage participation, and rating status
- To conduct reporting, blocking, hiding content, pre-post filtering, violation investigations, spam prevention, abuse prevention, use restrictions, and other moderation
- To respond to inquiries, rights infringement claims, deletion requests, and data subject requests
- To comply with law, app store policies, advertising policies, third-party service terms, and the Terms of Service
- To secure the Service, handle failures, analyze logs, improve quality, and create statistical information
- If ads are introduced, to serve ads, personalize ads, measure ad performance, prevent invalid activity, and manage consent
- For purposes incidental to the above
5. Public User Content
- The App includes public features that other users can view. Public information may include public fan letters, stage live messages, nicknames and avatars shown in rankings, author labels, and AI-generated replies.
- Users should only post or configure information that they are comfortable making public. Do not publish personal data, contact details, addresses, workplaces, schools, financial information, health information, identity documents, or personal data of others.
- The Developer uses Public User Content to provide, display, store, back up, translate, moderate, investigate reports, comply with law, respond to app store review, and comply with advertising policies.
- Even if a user deletes Public User Content, it may be retained for a reasonable period for backup, report handling, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and dispute handling.
6. Generative AI
- The App may use OpenAI, DeepSeek, Cloudflare Workers AI, or other AI-related services to generate conversations, public replies, stage evaluation text, and other content.
- Text entered by users, conversation context, character settings, public posts, language settings, and other information necessary for response generation may be sent to generative AI providers.
- The Developer may temporarily send conversation history stored on the user's device to servers for response generation. However, except for public posts, reports, safety measures, logs, and other cases described in this Policy, the Developer does not intend to permanently store ordinary private chat text on its servers.
- Processing by generative AI providers is governed by each provider's policies.
7. Reports, Blocks, and Moderation
- The App may provide in-app reporting features for Public User Content and AI-generated content.
- When a report is submitted, the Developer may store the reporter identifier, reported content, target user identifier, report reason, content snapshot, report time, screen information, and related metadata.
- When a user uses a blocking feature, the Developer stores identifiers of the blocking user and blocked user to hide the blocked user's public posts from the blocking user's view.
- Report and moderation information is retained as necessary for violation investigations, safety measures, preventing recurrence, legal compliance, app store review, advertising policy compliance, and dispute handling.
- If required by law, necessary to protect users or third parties, or necessary to respond to serious violations, the Developer may provide necessary information to authorities, rights holders, platform operators, cloud providers, or advertising providers.

The App may use the following third-party services. Actual usage may vary by app version and region.

9. Advertising and Consent Management
- The App may not currently display ads, but may display ads through Google AdMob in the future.
- If AdMob is introduced, Google and advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, app usage information, ad impressions, clicks, and consent status for ad serving, measurement, fraud prevention, personalized advertising, and consent management.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other regions where consent is required, the App may provide a consent form such as Google UMP to obtain, change, or withdraw advertising consent.
- On iOS, if the App uses the advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking across apps or websites, it will request permission through App Tracking Transparency (ATT). If permission is not granted, the App can still be used, but ads may be less relevant.
- Users may be able to reset advertising identifiers, limit personalized advertising, or change tracking permission through OS settings.
10. Sharing and Processors
The Developer does not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases.
- With user consent
- When information is processed through third-party services described in this Policy as necessary to provide the App
- When required by law
- When necessary to protect life, body, property, rights, or safety of users or third parties
- When necessary to respond to abuse, Terms violations, rights infringement, security incidents, app store policy violations, or advertising policy violations
- When necessary for outsourcing, cloud processing, analytics, support, moderation, legal affairs, accounting, or business succession
11. International Transfers
Cloud services, generative AI providers, advertising providers, app stores, and other third-party services used by the App may process or store information outside Japan. By using the App, you understand that your information may be processed outside Japan.
12. Security
The Developer takes reasonable measures to protect user information from leakage, loss, damage, unauthorized access, and misuse. Measures may include encrypted communications, access control, permission management, logging, minimizing retention, and moderation. However, the Developer does not guarantee complete security of internet communications, user devices, or third-party services.
13. Data Retention
- The Developer retains user information for the period necessary to provide the App, or for a reasonable period necessary for legal compliance, report handling, abuse prevention, dispute handling, security, app store review, and advertising policy compliance.
- Public User Content may be retained until the user deletes it or until the Developer removes or hides it.
- Reports, blocks, moderation records, logs, and abuse prevention information may be retained for a period after public content is deleted for recurrence prevention, evidence preservation, and safety measures.
- Information stored on the user's device may remain on the device until the user deletes the App, deletes app data, or removes it using OS features.
14. User Rights
Subject to applicable law, users may request notification of purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of third-party provision of their personal information held by the Developer. To make a request, contact the Developer using the contact information below. The Developer will respond within a reasonable scope after identity verification and legally required checks.
15. Children's Privacy
- The App is not intended for children under 13. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- If the Developer learns that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Developer will take reasonable steps to delete the information.
- If a parent or guardian believes that a child may have provided personal information to the App, contact the Developer using the contact information below.
16. Changes to This Policy
- The Developer may change this Policy as necessary.
- Updated policies become effective when posted in the App or on the Developer's website. If consent is required by law, the Developer will obtain consent in the manner specified by the Developer.
- If you continue to use the App after this Policy is changed, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Policy.
